I have stayed a number of times at this apartment and can definitely recommend it. I stayed with a couple of friends but I expect it is also perfect when you are with a family. The location is indeed very central and when you get of the train it is literally across the street. Also the restaurants and bars in Zermatt Main Street are at walking distance and the train express that takes you up the slopes is next door. Inside the apartment there are two bathrooms which can be very convenient if you are with a small group and are in a hurry to get to the snow in the morning. Further, the apartment is equipped with everything you need for cooking yourself with a good kitchen and large fridge. In short great apartment to stay!
We loved the place. The owner has clearly thought of everything, Swiss style, and has created a setting in which the guests can fully enjoy Zermatt. My children and I skied all day, and came back to the apartment to cook dinner. (It's a big plus that the supermarket is right below it, so shopping for food is most convenient.)
The furniture is first class, the kitchen is fully stocked, there were even small niceties such as coffee, salt and oil available.
I would recommend this place to anyone who likes living in a home better than a hotel, and wants to save a significant amount of money.
Nach der langen Anreise waren wir froh über die zentrale Lage der Wohnung. Vom Bahnhof kann man direkt mit dem Gepäckwagen vor den Lift der Wohnung fahren, einfach genial! Die Wohnung ist zweckmässig eingerichtet und man findet alles was man braucht. Verschiedene Bars und Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe und können bequem zu Fuss erreicht werden. Ebenso muss man für die frischen Brötchen am morgen nicht weit laufen.
Es ist eine einfache, jedoch sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung, es hat alles was gebraucht wird, und noch ein bisschen mehr. Der Prosecco stand auch schon kalt als wir ankamen :-)
Das zweite Badezimmer war für uns (4 Personen) wirklich sehr wertvoll. Die Lage ist genial, besser kann es definitiv fast nicht sein: Gegenüber dem Bahnhof und der Gornergratbahn, im Parterre des Gebäudes befindet sich ein Coop sowie ein Sportgeschäft, Restaurants befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe....
